This block will likely be the primary source of navigation on your site unless you replace the standard menu with MDMenus now that permissions have been added to it.

Title - If this is the only menu you use, it makes sense to change the title from Main Menu to Menu. Be sure to change and check Permissions accordingly.
Position - Where you want the menu block to be located.
Language - Which languages will display the menu block if you use multiple languages on your site.
Menu format - Choose between displaying the menu as a list (see below) or a dropdown .
Display - Clicking on modules will show a list of modules at the bottom of the menu. There is not much of a point in displaying them in this manner.
Clicking on waiting content will display it at the bottom of the menu. Waiting content would be more visible in the incoming block placed above the menu.
The default configuration has menu items organized in groups. Even so, it can be improved upon, especially for sites which have communities and related modules. I suggest a logical and orderly grouping as reflected in the menu below, which includes some third party modules and pages.
Menu
· Administration · Home · My Account · Logout
Community
· Calendar · Classified Ads · Online Events · Forum · Gallery · Member Pages
· Contact Form · Contact Information · Members List · Most Popular · Recommend Us · Site Features · Site Layout · About Our Site · Policy Statement · Statistics
Please note that enabling or disabling modules does not automatically update the main menu to reflect those changes. You must update it manually by adding or deleting menu listings. Also, entries with no corresponding URL, such as Community, Information and Resources, and Site Data above, are automatically emboldened.
How do I change the menu?
Adding removing or editing menu items
If you wish to make any changes to the main menu in MDP:
1. Login as the administrator 2. Click on Administration 3. Click on Settings 3. Click on Blocks 4. Under block title, find Main Menu (or just Menu if you changed it as I did) 5. On the Main Menu line, under Options, click on Edit 6. Scroll down to the section labeled Content where you see a table with the title, URL and description of each module and program 7. Make your changes 8. Click on Commit Changes at the bottom of the page 9. Check your work by clicking on Home and review your changes
Adding items
You can insert a new item anywhere in the menu. If you wish to place it between two existing entries, go to the top one of the two, click on Insert blank after and then on Commit Changes. This adds a blank line after the entry on the line selected. Now go back and add your entry on the blank line you just created.
Use the present listings as a guide for entering the URL portion. Individual pages are listed by page name as in index.php. Most modules will have the module name encased in [] brackets as with [PN_zClassifieds]. Some however, use the {} brackets, as {PostCalendar} does. The difference is compliance with the pnAPI. Older, non-compliant modules use the [straight brackets]. The API compliant modules use the {curly brackets}. Follow the recommendations of the module author as far as which brackets to use.
Deleting items
Click on Delete on the line of the item you wish to delete. Click on Commit Changes. It's gone. There are no warnings so be sure you want to delete the item. If you make a mistake or later wish to restore a listing, just follow the instructions for adding items. Be sure to list the module name exactly as it appears in the modules directory on your server, surrounded by the proper brackets. This includes the case of the module name as well. This means that [Downloads] and not [downloads] is the proper entry for the URL for downloads.
Moving items
For moving items to different lines, as in reordering the menu, you will need to use a combination of adding and deleting. You add them to the new line and delete the old line. You could also use the cut and paste method to move items, although that might confuse some people.
