ew FileManager

Duster

This module was designed to manage files and directories inside a directory given permissions by the site admin.

This is an FTP-like module. You can create directories, upload, edit and delete files through the module interface.

If you have co-admins or sub-admins on your site but do not want to share your FTP account with them, this module could be the solution for you. It can be especially useful if you use the Subjects module on your site as EW FileManager can bring additional functionality to it.

The module must be configured before it will function. Go to Administration --> ew_filemanager -> Module Configuration

First of all, set the absolute path to files directory:* to the directory you want FileManager be able to work with "/" at the end. For *NIX systems it may be something like www/htdocs/wwwsite/modules/subjects/pages/. For Windows systems it may be d:/www/pn-site/modules/subjects/pages/.

The module will not able to go higher than the directory you've pointed to in the module configuration except directories you designate for certain users.

You can permit a user to work with FileManager in the directory appointed for him or her. A user will be able to manage directories and files under the specified directory, not above it, but you have to give additional permissions to user for the module in [Administration]-->[Permissions].
