  LinksLinks lets you have a directory of hyperlinks to other sites with categories and subcategories similar to Yahoo. Its comes with its own search engine, separate from the content of the site. Ideally, a site owner will be the one who submits a link. This will show them as the owner of that link in the database. However, in many cases links have been added to a site without the owner knowing about it. This is especially true with large companies. When an admin adds links, it is recommended that the company name or site name be entered under Name and an e-mail address of the company entered under e-mail address. If none can be found, webmaster, info or sales @ the company domain are usually valid addresses. Doing this has the added benefit of notifying the company or web site owner that you have added a link to their site. They may in turn add a link to your site. At the very least, by you making them aware of the link, they can notify you of any changes to their site in the future. To notify the site whose link is being added, be sure to add a link as any other user might. If links are added via the admin section, no notification is sent to the site that a link was placed to their site.
