ModulesWhat are they?A module is a program that adds functionality not otherwise present in MDP and requires MDP for integration. Just as personal computers have an operating system (Linux, The Macintosh OS, Windows, or others) and have programs that are added (say Photoshop) that add functionality not otherwise present, so it is with MDP and modules. Photoshop uses the operating system (OS) printer driver, clipboard, video display and other components of the OS. It cannot run on its own. You can think of MDP as the OS and modules as the programs that are added to it. Some modules are also stand alone programs that have had modules created to integrate them with MDP.
See How To Install Modules in the documentation section UsageMDP comes with several modules, though many are inactive and will not function without action on your part. By clicking on Administration and then Modules, you will see two choices, List and Regenerate. By clicking on List, you can see a list of modules and their status, which will be Initialize, Activate, Deactivate, or Update. When you have uploaded a new module, click on Regenerate so the presence of the new module is recognized and the module listing is updated.
