Post subject: A page about me and my friends

Hey there!

I asked many things here in the forums and got great support everytime.
Now i want to show what i made with MDPro.

here is the link: http://www.ablitern.de/vollinger/index.php

Description:
The site is about my friends and me who like to have fun, have parties together and so on.
I guess many ppl won't understand the written text there because its in german. But the text is not so important...
just have a look at the layout / colors / used modules and tell me what you think about it

Notes:
i think about changing the overall background color but havent found a good replacement yet...if anyone has a good idea please tell me

all reviews are welcome Cool

Thanks in advance!

It's a nice looking site. I like vibrant blues over muted ones. For the background color on the main page, you might try 0072BC or 055090 and see how they look.

I like that you've taken the time to match your forum to the site as well. It completes the forum and makes it blend in rather than look apart from the rest of the site.

I do have one suggestion for you before you get too involved adding links. You might want to consider a directory module instead.

Here is a link to a site that uses XOOPS and its xdirectory module. It will give you a good idea of the difference between mere links and a proper directory.

There are a few directory modules that will work with MDPro. Two that I know of bear the names bizpages and yellowpages.

@Duster

thanks for your review Smile

will try the colors you suggested and have a look at those directory modules....looks interesting and it could really be a better solution than the links module i am currently using

@ifteba
i am using IShoutBox. You can find it here in the Download Section, just have a look in Blocks -> Shoutbox
have customized it a bit though to fit my needs

Here is a page that uses the bizpages module pretty well:
http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/index.php? ... c=usermenu

Hope that gives you an idea of what you can do with them.
