Post subject: MDGallery?
Looking for the latest version of MDGallery. Has someone made version 2.x from menalto into a module yet and is it considered an MD Module or a third party?
Thanks,

Beta version of MDGallery2 is available to MDBoosters, but it needs a lot more work before it's fully integrated, so not really suitable for a live environment
MDGallery, despite it's name is a 3rd party hack of Gallery 1.x, I recently upgraded my website straight to Gallery 1.5.3 and it works fine for me with MDPro anyway, MDGallery was mainly created due to some css issues TheFatherMind has with Gallery 1.x that have never bothered me

I made my donation last night so I should have mdbooster status now. Don't know how to access that though.
I just reinstalled TFM's version again.
I was just hoping for an updated version. I think gallery2 may have some severe security issues anyway, but hoped someone from here had fixed it so it was secure.
Thanks,

Once Max gets a second to confirm the donation he'll promote you to MDBooster status, if that doesn't happen over the next few days let me know, as he is very busy at the moment and may not get around to it. Once that's done you can download files from the restricted MDBoosters area
I've no idea why you think Gallery2 is insecure, as long as you stay up to date with releases from the gallery team you shouldn't have a problem. Bear in mind that MDGallery is based on an older version of Gallery1, so this will have more security issues than the latest versions of g1 or g2. I recently made a donation to the gallery team, as I've been using their software for years and respect their project and team

I have loved gallery too and have used it for a number of years, and have a great respect for them as well, but I think gallery 2 has to have some security issues because I have had mine hacked twice. I've never had a problem with 1.5 getting hacked though. Otherwise, gallery2 is a wonderful program with great features. Also, mdpro was not hacked and none of my other programs were hacked, just gallery2. I'm just going to wait on it until it's had a chance for them to develop it some more. We were never able to figure out exactly how they got in through gallery2 but the last time it happened it really played havoc with my whole server. Somehow the hackers were able to plant malicious code on the site and make a real mess of things. I probably should have taken it to the developers but at the time I was in so much pain with my back, I finally just got rid of it. Didn't want to spend the time trying to fix it. I have a managed server and the technicians there advised me to just get rid of it and go back to the old gallery which is what I am doing now. When I feel better, I may try it again. I just figured if you guys were working on it, you would catch the security issues. I don't know enough about code to do it myself or understand it all so I depend greatly on you all and my server techs. I really appreciate all the work you people do and donating is the least I can do. Would love to help with anything I can. Just let me know. Thanks for answering all of my questions and even pointing out when I am wrong or off track. Love you guys!

Hey Pete, it's been a few days and I still haven't heard anything bout the MDBooster Status yet. Would you mind checking into it for me? Was going to message you privately but doesn't sound like we're supposed to do that. Let me know, k?
OK, I'm making the changes to your account now and I'll let Max know

Ok, I've read other posts and the F.A .Q. I'm missing something. I wanted to donate to MDBoosters, but I cannot find anywhere where there is a simple direct link to do so. Again, I am sure I missed something somewhere, but I am not being lazy I have been looking for some time.

Sadly, the MDBoosters version doesn't tie in the user logins to MDPro, as early attempts at a tie in had done. So far, I have found nothing that works with the newer versions of Gallery 2. If anyone else knows of anything, please give a holler!

I have several installations with the MDBoosters version and it work like a charm, the only problem is that this version don't work with php5.
Then I'm working around new version of gallery2 for MDPro, you can see it here i'm going to release it for MDLite but i don't know when this happen because now i don't have time to work around it.
Then also, with MDLite release MDBoosters can get a new gallery module for MDLite

What I was referring to is that it doesn't provide a single login for MDPro and Gallery 2, as noted in the Manual:
"Attention: This early version of MDGallery2 does no users/groups syncronisation between MDPro and Gallery2!"
