Post subject: need some added func to Downloads Modules. is it possible?

Hello All. I'm fairly new to CMS systems in general but I want to know what would be involved in editing the download module to include the ability to upload a jpeg (or 3) with each submitted upload.

Is that something that has been done before? If so, can you please tell me where to look for it.

Thx in advance!

I'm pretty sure Enrico has added some of that functionality to his licenced downloads module, which is available at his site

i checked the link. the development of that module seems to be put on hold or something as there were talks to release version 2 back in Jan 06 (i gathered this from their forums) anywho. I'm pretty stuck at the moment.
From what I'm hearing php doesn't handle large files uploads so i might just have to look for some other alternative. From what I've read Perl doesn't seem to have the same size limitations as php but I really don't know much about either subject so I'm realyl confused on what I should do now.

can you take a look at this site and tell me if this is somehting that would work with the shipped download module of 1.0.76

There's no reason why that wouldn't work, but you will obviously need to do a fair bit of custom coding to get it to work on your site
