Post subject: Importing users from MDpro to MDChannel

I'm testing out MDChannels (again) and took my user database from one site & put it onto my testing site for MDChannels. They all migrated just fine (after changing md_users to mdc_users & changing all their themes over to the MDC default one).

When I log in as my test user, the blocks show up fine, but when I log in under a screen name imported from MDPro 1074, the blocks don't show. Is there something else I need to adjust on the md_user part of the database? Or is there another part I should be importing as well?

Cheers!

MDChannels should be a direct replacement for MDPro. So you're completely overcomplicating the process. Simply install MD 1.0.76 to a test site, install your database, delete the file system apart from the \install\ directory and copy the MDChannels package. That should be all you have to do.

If you wish to carry on with your method, I suspect that you haven't copied the md_group_membership tables contents over

Does the fact I'm using 1.0.75 and am not currently using CMPro, but "subjects" instead make a huge difference?

& another question... How would I get the {center block} on either the theme-noblocks.htm or the theme-default.htm on the channels themes? I have a banner ad that works perfectly on the center block, but I need it to show on every page.

I've tried a few places, but I end up skewing the entire table set-up when I try to add it to the themes.

Just add the {center-blocks} tags in all template files and check all block display is set to 1- 'center' => '1'

We have integrated MDChannel in to MDlite as a module, so I suggest to wait a little bit for MDlite.
