Post subject: Installed modules not recognized

I have recently installed MDPro Lite 1.082

The installation is fine and working well.

I added the following modules:

Quotes
Weblinks
Misson

I properly uploaded (I think), installed and activated the modules. I added them to a tab in the admin area. I created a menu item to access them. When I do I get the following error:

We're sorry. The page you requested doesn't exist on...

Module name: FAQ :: type: :: file/func: main :: module does not exist
Module name: Mission :: type: :: file/func: main :: module does not exist
Module name: Quotes :: type: :: file/func: main :: module does not exist

What am I doing wrong. I can't find a forum post that describes the same problem. Any insight would be appreciated.

Steve

1 do you have downloaded MDPro 1.082 version ?
2 where and how you have uploaded these modules ?
3 about weblinks you need also to modify pntable.php, you can found a post about that.
4 are you sure about permissions and ownership in your files ?

1 . I have downlaoded MDPro version 1.082. You can see it at www.accountantsoffsite.com
2. I upload using LeechFTP. I just tried installing Areafiles. I uploaded the module into the module directory, the includes into the includes directory, and the upload into the upload directory.
3. Weblinks is working, although I did not modify the pntable.php. If you think I still should I will. However, areafiles is not recognized, and I get the same error. I have CMod the directory to 777, but no luck. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. MDPro installs and actvates, but won't run the module.

Thanks

When I click 'regenerate', the module 'areafiles1' appears (MD Download Module) with two clear circles.

I click the install button, and they change to red, I click activate, and they are green.

I enter the 'Edit Admin Section' and I'm able to add the module to the content tab

I click on the 'AreaFiles1' icon in the control panel and the following appears:

We're sorry. The page you requested doesn't exist on " Accountants Offsite "

Module name: Areafiles1 :: type: :: file/func: main :: module does not exist

Thanks for your help

I was doing a bit of troubleshooting. When I found that the module wasn't being recognized, I wanted to remove and reinstall it. However, the install instructions say not to delete it or you will lose your database. So what I did was rename the folder 'areafiles1' and the upload directory (There is still an upload directory called 'areafiles in any case.) before I uploaded it, on the assumption that MDPro is less interested in the name of the folder and more interested in the content.

Name folder is very important, otherwise if you change name folder you must change a lot of things in all module code.
