Post subject: Auto-theme doesnt work with Mdpro 0.821 ?

is there an auto-theme which works with mdpro 0.821?

i just spent $120 dollars buying the commerical at177pro auto-theme from spidean.com but it doesnt work, and get told it wont work with mdpro 0821, it only works with 07 version (- -)

i ftp'd everything, set all permissions, read the instructions 3 times, but then i just get green blank screen with the words:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function pnBannerDisplay() in /home/XrootXXXX/public_html/XXXmysiteXXXX/modules/Autorender/includes/ atAPI.php(585) : eval()'d code on line 9

and i cant even log back into the admin section

what can i do?

i've fully designed articles and stuff , so i really dont wanna just dump mdpro yet, but i really need an auto-theme....

if i get a refund, can u tell me if there any other decent website where i can get autotheme which works with mdpro 0.821??

Try to install your theme on a new MDPro installation, if the theme works probably the problem is related to your installation.

Look also if your banner module is installed correctly.

everytime i try and get into the admin section it just pops up with a blank notepad file called admin.php

trying to get back into my site....

www.mysite.com/admin.php doesnt work, it just re-directs to http://mysite.com/index.php?module=MDUs ... c=getlogin

and when i type in my admin user and pass, admin notepad php file pops up and it just logs into the 'user' account, there is no way of getting back into the main admin panel....

any ideas??

*autotheme doesnt support mdpro 0821*

ok, somehow i logged back into admin control panel (the mdpro animated log-in is lost though).... just need to figure out how to get autotheme to work with the only available mdpro system (0821)......

i dont want to search for a previous mdpro version just to make autotheme work (><)

try again 2 more fresh completely new installations of mdpro, and then added auto-theme afterwards, and i still get this "Fatal error: Call to undefined function pnBannerDisplay() in /home/XrootXXXX/public_html/XXXmysiteaddressXXXX/modules/Autorender/in cludes/ atAPI.php(585) : eval()'d code on line 9 "

You can do it, they are both free GPL software, so if you find Joomla easier to use I simply suggest you to use it.

thanks for your honesty

and meanwhile, you have a great solution for keeping maxdev up-to-date (^-^)b

so for everyone who comes here to download mdpro 0821, please note that 'auto theme' will 'not' work with mdpro

it's best to use joomla,
or post nuke/zikula which 'will' work with autotheme

Personally I like MDPro, I work on it, and I'm happy to use it for my sites, but I have respect for the others projects, and I'm happy to see them growing: if I go on zikula's forum I show respect, I don't really start flames saying to use MDPro instead Zikula. Probably some people have a strange idea of respect? I don't really know.

Actually I'm using Autorender and smarty, and I don't really see any advantage on using autotheme, so I can only suggest to let lose autotheme.

this is because MDPro 1.082x doesn't include Banner module and your theme call a deprecated pnbannerdisplay function, maybe you can try to add

Code:
function pnbannerdisplay () {};

in your pntable.php file

If you want to run Autotheme theme with MDPro 1.082x you don't need Autotheme because with Autorender, maybe with some small fix's, you can use Autotheme themes

Many apologies, I edited my comment. I'm glad you are using AutoRender, and of course you see no advantage to AutoTheme because AutoRender is AutoTheme 99%, with smarty support added for modules. Actually it's 99% the commercial AutoTheme because I gave the AutoTheme full caching code to MD-Pro. Glad you like it, you're welcome.

Thanks!
